Sheng Zhen Classes Resume in Bolton Hill

Our practice room

Starting Wednesday, September 14, Peter Van Buren will resume Sheng Zhen classes at the Bolton Hill Nursery (BHN) in mid-town Baltimore. The partnership with the Nursery started a year ago as a creative fundraiser, collecting over $800 for the school so far.

Every Wednesday from 6 to 7 PM, classes are held in the grand room of their historic Victorian building at 204 West Lanvale, on the corner with Park Avenue. There is plenty of free on-street parking around the school.

Peter will lead the weekly sessions focusing each class on one standing and one seated form of Sheng Zhen Gong, including Heaven Nature Gong, Heart Mind as One, Heart Spirit as One and Healing Gong.

Sheng Zhen means “unconditional love”, and whether seated or standing, this qigong involves graceful, gentle, easy-to-learn movements that reduce stress and elevate your spirit. This class provides the perfect introduction to this wonderful practice, an easy entry to gain the benefits of improved health, relaxation and inner peace.

Beginners and drop-ins are always welcome at all our classes. As a creative fundraiser, all proceeds will go to Bolton Hill Nursery. Drop-in classes are $10 each, or you can buy a 6 class package for $50.  We accept cash, cards and checks made payable to "Bolton Hill Nursery".

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Qigong can be practiced in socks or bare foot. No equipment is needed. Just bring yourself and enjoy the practice of unconditional love.

Open your heart and tap into your body’s naturally ability to heal.

"It's amazing how much one short class balances out the whole week and helps me feel so centered".   - Laura Jeanne, Sheng Zhen student
