Feed the Good Wolf

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life.

"A fight is going on inside of me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it's between two wolves. One wolf is evil - he is hatred, anger, greed, envy, sorrow, regret, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt and ego."

"The other is good - he is love, hope, joy, peace, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, resiliency, generosity, truth, compassion, perseverance, and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old chief simply replied, "The one I feed."
